Dental Extraction

Tooth extraction is the removal of a damaged tooth. Tooth that is damaged either by tooth decay, tooth wear or dental trauma can normally be treated with a filling, crown, root canal treatment or other dental treatments.

However, sometimes, extractions will be necessary as the damage to the tooth is too severe to repair. In order to ease the extraction procedure, local anaesthesia is normally administered to numb the compromised tooth region before extraction.
